Cormack Consultancy Group

For more than a quarter of a century the Cormack Consultancy Group (CCG) has built academically beneficial strategic partnerships between higher education institutions across the globe. They quickly established themselves as the leading consultancy supporting British universities to diversify their internationalisation portfolios in Central and Eastern Europe. Their global footprint now extends to other key international hubs including the US, Australia, and Canada. CCG works with more than 1,100 partner institutions in over 70 countries. Across these regions, they work with a range of public and private institutions, from research-intensive universities to polytechnics and institutes of technology, medical universities, community colleges, and special-focus institutions. CCG develops customised and innovative partnership opportunities for our clients based on their recruitment, research, academic, and commercialisation objectives. In addition to building university-to-university partnerships, CCG has worked with leading global institutions to spearhead a number of capacity-building projects that support government bodies in Central and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. These projects have deployed university expertise in research and specialised training, and delivered significant benefits for all stakeholders. CCG is very proud to have developed the Twinning Initiative in collaboration with Universities UK International (UUKi) and the President’s Fund of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports. Twinning is an institution-to-institution partnership framework to support Ukrainian higher education through short-term aid and long-term activities that help sustain and rebuild Ukrainian universities, the economy and society. You can find out more about the initiative at www.twinningukraine.com.

In the Skills Alliance for Ukraine, CCG is represented with one project:

• The “Twinning Dual Degree Project” is an effective model to widen access to high-quality education by offering 2 degrees in the areas essential for rebuilding Ukraine. This model is progressive as it enables to support students in-country to be part of joint intellectual space while the limits to leave the country imply due to the war.

• The model exposes students of universities in Ukraine and in the UK on different Master’s programmes that directly address the needs and challenges created by the war in Ukraine, as identified by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, to highest UK education standards. Dual degrees are based on credit mobility/recognition with part of the programme delivered by the UK partner. Ukrainian students will obtain their national degree alongside the British one. Positive effects are anticipated not only for students on the programmes but for participating Ukrainian universities boosting their capacity in internationalisation of curricula, quality assurance, professional development of the teaching staff.

As of May 2025, 300+ people have been trained across Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kherson.
