Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation
The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation is a Ukrainian charitable organization established in 2022 in response to the energy crisis in Ukraine caused by russia’s full-scale invasion.
The foundation focuses on providing critical and social infrastructure with renewable solar energy solutions, fostering positive changes toward a sustainable future. It has launched three campaigns: 100 Solar Schools, 50 Solar Hospitals and Solar Water Utilities aiming to install hybrid solar power plants (solar panels, inverters, and energy storage systems) for schools, hospitals, and municipal water utilities in regions of Ukraine affected by russian aggression.
Among our core values are access to education and healthcare, energy independence, climate action, and awareness-raising in the field of green energy.
The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation implements its campaigns all over Ukraine, working with local authorities, NGOs, activists, international donors, and partners.
The Foundation is a proud member of Solar Power Europe and the Ukraine Energy Initiative of the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine. The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation won the National Energy Globe Award 2023 in the Fire category in April 2024, the “Green Energy Initiative of the Year” award by the Emerging Europe Awards in October 2023 in Brussels, and was acknowledged by the president of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, at #UkraineRecoveryConference2023 in London. The Foundation has also been recognized at the National Competition “Charitable Ukraine” in both 2024 and 2025. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, support the work of the Foundation. And the pool of partners covers such renowned organizations as L’Oréal Ukraine (Garnier brand partnership), Menlo Electric, German Solar Association BSW-Solar, GIZ GmBH (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), Electriciens sans Frontieres, Octopus Energy UK, Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), and many more.
We strive for the Ukrainian nation to have a culture of conscious consumption of natural resources. That is why in all schools where we install hybrid solar power plants, we conduct a training course “Sustainable Development and Green Energy”, increase children’s knowledge about sustainability and energy sources, and cultivate ecological habits to bring Ukraine’s green transition closer. As of the end of 2025, nearly 2,000 children in 21 schools across Ukraine have completed the course.
In addition, the Foundation focuses on educational projects by initiating and implementing the Solar Step program. The Solar Step program by the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation is designed to develop the human capital of the solar energy sector in Ukraine and provide women with opportunities for professional growth in this industry. As part of the program, a free course “Project Management in Solar Power Plant Construction” is offered.
The Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation is also an active member of Skills Alliance, which enables systematic knowledge exchange with leading industry partners and strengthens professional collaboration. Participation in this community is aimed at introducing modern training approaches, developing a skilled workforce, and enhancing human capital in Ukraine’s energy sector.
