Entrepreneurial Ukraine Foundation
During late 2022 and the first half of 2023, the idea arose to offer Ukrainian refugees the opportunity to set up their own company in the Netherlands. To facilitate this, the ‘Entrepreneurial Ukraine’ Foundation was established in the summer of 2023, which took over the training and guidance activities.
The ultimate objective is that as soon as the situation allows, the newly formed company can be moved to Ukraine, often while retaining the customer base built up in the Netherlands, and can be further expanded there. This should help to accelerate the reconstruction of the country and offer Ukrainians a better future perspective.
Activities and program:
The foundation’s activities consists of the following components:
- Implementation of a teaching program of 9 evenings, including preparatory and homework assignments each week for the participants.
- Setting up the business plan and developing commercial skills: how do I find my customers and how do I retain them. In the Netherlands and later also abroad.
- Developing financial skills, necessary when setting up and running your own business.
- Attention to the necessary Dutch and Ukrainian basic legal knowledge, necessary for setting up and running your own company, both in the Netherlands and (later) in Ukraine.
