European Academy of Diplomacy

The mission of the European Academy of Diplomacy (EAD) is to provide a milieu for networking, idea exchange and skills training, which help shape, sharpen and inspire a new generation of enlightened international leaders committed to undertaking responsibility for a better world. It works with the following values: Respect and Dialogue –EAD is committed to creating an environment, which assures that every voice is heard and every contribution to the discussion is valued. An environment of mutual respect which fosters trust, sparks progress and brings to the table new ideas for a changing world; Co-ownership – A better world cannot emerge without assuming global responsibility. For this very reason EAD programs and activities evolve around the idea that each of us individually is responsible for the common good. Co-ownership is also the backbone of EAD programs, which provide EAD participants with the opportunity to shape and influence their learning experience as they go; Empowerment – By creating an open and truly international environment for leaders, the EAD strives to assure that participants feel empowered, as they graduate from EAD programs. By providing a network of like-minded and inspirational individuals, as well as by offering the participants much-needed skills, EAD hopes to strengthen the belief that change does come from within; Ethical Engagement –EAD is engaged in making the world a better place by providing like-minded future leaders with inspiration, skills and network opportunities, as well as promoting growth beyond oneself. EAD ethical engagement aims first and foremost at reinforcing democracy, human rights and rule of law worldwide, by sharing Poland’s successful transformation experience.

In the Skills Alliance for Ukraine, EAD is represented with one project:

• The “Ethical Leadership – building economic and social resilience in small business environment” project aimed at outcome no. 4 of the Skills Alliance: Addressing special needs of women, youth, people with disabilities, elderly, veterans and vulnerable groups to facilitate their economic empowerment.

• It includes workshops and training sessions for young leaders, in particular women, engaged or interested in engaging in entrepreneurial activities in SME sector. The focus will be on business processes with regard to transparency, corruption and accountability. Based on the need of internal economic development in Ukraine and international donors and investors requirements.
