Headquartered in Mountain View, California, Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., which was established in 2015 to manage its diverse portfolio of businesses. Google’s product ecosystem includes widely used services such as Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Cloud, and the Android operating system. These platforms serve billions of users worldwide, reflecting the company’s commitment to accessibility and innovation . Beyond its core products, Google invests in “moonshot” projects like artificial intelligence research, quantum computing, and autonomous vehicles through its various initiatives . The company also emphasizes corporate responsibility, focusing on areas such as user privacy, sustainability, and expanding educational opportunities. Google’s efforts in these domains aim to create a positive impact on society and ensure that its technologies benefit a diverse global community .
In the Skills Alliance for Ukraine, Google is represented with one project:
• The platform “Google Znannia” is an educational hub created by Google specifically for Ukrainians to upskill them for work, school and life. Google Znannia covers all the programs, courses and tools Google offers for Ukrainians.
• For School: resources for teachers, parents and students to help them teach and
learn online. Main topics: Google tools for educators, online safety of children,
media literacy of youth, YouTube for kids, etc.
• For Work: resources for specialists and businesses to help them develop careers
or grow businesses. Main topics: AI, Google Cloud, Cybersecurity, Digital
Marketing, Business development, Export, Startups, solutions for NGOs, etc.
• For Life: tools to explore the world including: Arts&Culture, Google Earth,
Google Translate, AI, Google Lens, Safety Centre, media literacy, Password
Manager, etc. Ukraine is the first market globally that got a local version of a global platform Google Learning.”
As of March 2025, 54,000 people had received training in AI Essentials and AI for Productivity.
