Pro Futuro Foundation
Pro Futuro Foundation currently operates primarily in the areas of education, social integration, support for refugees from Ukraine, labour market activation, and the development of social competencies. The Foundation also implements activities related to mental health support, prevention of social exclusion, youth development, and the promotion of European values.
Since 2022 Pro Futuro actively helps Ukrainian refugees in Poland because of the War, started by the Russian Federation, and has organized many projects for them. Ukrainian Education Hub in Poland (https://poland.eduhub.org.ua) was established by the Pro Futuro Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine and other different donors.
The mission of Pro Futuro Foundation is to support the integration of refugees from Ukraine in a way that strengthens local communities in Poland and facilitates intercultural cooperation. Through education, professional development, and psychosocial support, the Foundation helps people with refugee experience adapt to a new environment, while supporting institutions in effective cooperation with them. Pro Futuro Foundation promotes social cohesion and actively counteracts social exclusion. Particular attention is given to career guidance and legal career pathways (employment or self-employment) for both adult and young Ukrainian refugees.
The main target groups of Pro Futuro Foundation include:
– refugees from Ukraine: adults, youth, children, and educators;
– Polish organisations and public institutions involved in integration activities;
– local communities where intercultural bridges are built.
The Foundation’s activities connect the needs of displaced people with the potential of local structures, creating spaces for cooperation and shared development.
Over the past three years, Pro Futuro Foundation has implemented more than 1,000 educational, integration, and information activities for over 63,000 people from Ukraine. The Foundation supports refugee integration through language courses, vocational training, personal development workshops, leadership programmes, and psychological support—for both adults and children. Pro Futuro Foundation operates across Poland, including Warsaw and more than ten of the country’s largest cities, in partnership with public institutions and NGOs. The Foundation has developed its own free Polish-language learning platform, Lingva Polska, with over 35,000 users, and has implemented youth projects in cooperation with UNICEF Poland. Pro Futuro Foundation is a member of integration-focused working committees and a partner of the Labour Office for Foreign Nationals. The Foundation’s activities respond to real needs of local communities and support their development through more effective cooperation with people with refugee experience.
