Tent focuses on mobilising leading businesses to connect work-authorized refugees to employment through hiring, training, and mentorship – because Tent knows that a job is the most important milestone for a refugee to restart their life. Tent works with leading companies across the Americas and Europe to connect refugees to jobs at scale, harnessing what employers do best to overcome refugees’ pervasive exclusion from the workforce. The Tent Partnership for Refugees is made up of more than 500 major companies committed to integrating refugees into the labor market. Members span industries from consumer goods to hospitality, retail to professional services, and technology to manufacturing. Joining Tent is free of charge. Tent operates in 11 countries across the Americas and Europe. We have dedicated staff that provides locally-tailored guidance to help companies hire refugees, by expanding their talent pipeline, integrating refugees in the workplace, and addressing common barriers.

In the Skills Alliance for Ukraine, Tent is represented with one project:

• Under “Supporting Ukrainian refugees’ economic integration and upskilling in Poland and Germany,” Tent will provide free of charge a number of services to its networks of major businesses in Germany and Poland, with a view to better preparing them for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Tent will work with companies to set up refugee hiring programs to increase the number of Ukrainains in their workforce, run trainings for HR teams to ensure hiring and onboarding practices are inclusive of displaced Ukrainians 3. Encourage companies to set up training programs for Ukrainian refugees, connect companies to local non-profits to source Ukrainian refugee talent, share best practices among companies on hiring Ukrainian refuges, running workshops, calls, and events to foster peer-to-peer learning, and run a professional mentorship program targeting Ukrainian women to help them better access local labour markets.
