Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation that works to build better policies for better lives. The OECD draws on more than 60 years of experience and insights to shape policies that foster prosperity and opportunity, underpinned by equality and well-being.

The OECD works closely with policy makers, stakeholders and citizens to establish evidence-based international standards and to find solutions to social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and strengthening policies to fight climate change to bolstering education and fighting international tax evasion, the OECD is a unique forum and knowledge hub for data, analysis and best practices in public policy. Its core aim is to set international standards and support their implementation – and help countries forge a path towards stronger, fairer and cleaner societies.

The OECD is working hand-in-hand with Ukraine through a four-year Country Programme to drive the country’s agenda for reform, recovery and reconstruction, and help to advance its ambitions to join the OECD and the European Union. The Programme is supporting Ukraine through the war, while ensuring the best use of reconstruction aid to promote economic development and the welfare of citizens. The OECD-Ukraine Liaison Office in Kyiv further supports the implementation of the Ukraine Country Programme by facilitating engagement with key stakeholders on the ground.

Through the Skills Alliance, the OECD will support Ukraine in strengthening its VET system by providing recommendations, based on international good practices, on VET qualifications, online training platform and technology use.
